ANNUAL MEETING - February 26, 2002


Kingsport Press Credit Union's Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2002. Written annual reports will be available to members during regular business hours at all Credit Union locations that day.

Registration cards, enclosed with December Credit Union statements, must be completed and returned to the Credit Union by closing on February 26th to be eligible for the many prizes that will be awarded. The grand prize will be a $300 cash award. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE PRESENT TO WIN. Prizewinners' names will be posted on bulletin boards and individuals contacts the following day.

The regular business meeting will be held at the Credit Union's main office in Kingsport at 6:00 P.M. that evening.

Nominations were accepted from October 1st through December 1st for three expiring Credit Union positions, and there were no further nominations. Following is information on the candidates, proposed by the Nominating Committee, who will therefore be elected to three-year terms on the Board of Directors:

Christine Grant

Christine is a graduate of King College in Bristol, TN with a major in Business and Economics. She also completed a major in English at East Tennessee State University. Christine was employed with Quebecor Printing for 21 years, working in Book Group Marketing and Communications and as a Corporate Credit Representative. She is currently employed with the Sullivan County Circuit Court Clerk's Office.

Since becoming a member of the Board in 1989, Christine has been very active serving on various committees including the Marketing, Annual Meeting, Executive and Review Committees. She has served as Secretary to the Board of Directors and currently is fulfilling a seventh term as Chairman of the Board. Christine has attended numerous Credit Union training seminars across the state.

Having herself been a member of the Credit Union since 1980, Christine is interested in maintaining the strength and integrity of the Credit Union and in representing its members.

Jody Hensley

Jody was a Personnel Management major at East Tennessee State University. After two years with the Department of Employement Security in Morgan City, Louisiana, she worked for Arcata Graphics/Book group in numerous capacities for 16 years: Employment Advisor/Editorial Assistance, Purchasing Expediter and Agent, Estimating Specialist, Senior Estimating Supervisor, and Estimating Manager.

During this time, Jody served on the Kingsport Press Credit Union Board of Directors, participating on various committees and serving as Board Secretary and Vice-Chairman. She attended numerous Credit Union educational conferences and seminars throughout Tennessee before her resignation from the Board due to relocation to Berryville, Virginia for a six-year stint as Director/Customer Services for Berryville Graphics. After a brief employment as Sales Manager with Sonopress Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee, Jody returned to Quebecor in October 1994 as Director/Pricing. She semi-retired in February 2001 and returned in June 2001 to assist with projects in the Pricing Department.

Jody has much to offer with her extensive management experience, diversified background, and past Credit Union experience. She has been a dedicated Kingsport Press Credit Union member since 1979.

Paul Rutledge

Paul graduated from Church Hill High School and served in the U.S. Army. Employed by Kingsport Press in 1957, Paul worked in all of the Bindery departments. In 1961, he became a group leader in the Casing-In Department and then was promoted to Supervisor. Paul served in that capacity until 1987 at which time he was transferred to third shift supervising all the operations running. He was most recently a supervisor in the Material Resources Department [Shipping] at Quebecor/Kingsport. Paul is now enjoying retirement.

A member of the Credit Union since 1959, Paul has served on the Board of Directors for 13 years on various committees including the Review and Executive Committee. He has also served as Vice-Chairman, served several years as Chairman of the Board and represented the Credit Union at various educational functions.

Paul is dedicated to serving the Credit Union and its members.
